DutchCham is co-hosting this webinar with EuroCham about gender equality in the financial industry giving both a European and Hong Kong perspective to the matter.

In Hong Kong, we are still taking baby steps towards gender equality, particularly in the financial industry. The gender pay gap, glass ceiling and unconscious bias still remain among us.

- How gender diversity in the workforce of financial services (FS) sector can bring positive impact to the performance?

- How does a FS firm address the issues of unconscious biases and gender pay gap?

- Would there be any driving force from pre-career stage that can groom and nurture the next generation to more diversity in the industry?

During this webinar, we will also look into how European businesses are dealing with this matter and what can we learn from them.

For this purpose, we are thrilled to sit back and listen to:

  • Ms Angelina Kwan, Vice-Chair of The Women's Foundation and Chief Executive Officer at Stratford Finance Limited
  • Ms Nyree Hu, Managing Director of CarVal Investors
  • Mr Syed Musheer Ahmed, FinStep Asia and Founding Board Member at the FinTech Association of Hong Kong

This session will be moderated by Ms Lena Wong, CFA, 100 Women in Finance. The European perspective will be given by Ms Ching Yng Choi, CYC Asia-Europe Consultingand Chair of FSBC at EuroCham;and the event will be opened by Mr Stratos Pourzitakis, CFA Institute and Vice-Chair of FSBC at Eurocham.
