The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) offers tremendous opportunities for businesses, including those located in Hong Kong. The total population is over 86 million and the GDP in 2021 was USD 1.9 trillion, which exceeds that of South Korea, Spain and Australia. Developments such as the launch of connect schemes, the establishment of cooperation zones (e.g. Qianhai, Henqin and Nansha) and realisation of a sophisticated transport network, further increases the attractiveness of the GBA.

In order to capture opportunities in the GBA however, it is important to cross the border well-prepared. What are useful tools to access the GBA and how to arrange your e-payments in China?

During this lunch session organised by the Dutch and German Chambers of Commerce, you will receive practical advice and tools to prepare your venture into the GBA. Our speakers are:

  • Winsome Chan, Head of Marketing and Customer Services of HKTDC, will provide an update on the GBA, as well as introduce the GoGBA platform.
  • Carol Lam, Alternate Chief Executive at Alipay Financial Services will explain the use of the Alipay app to conduct e-payments in China.

Afterwards, there will be opportunity to mingle and discuss with fellow entrepreneurs and professionals.

Are you ready to tap into the potential of the GBA and obtain a first mover advantage? Make sure you don't miss this event and order your tickets now!
