The Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, in collaboration with the European Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong and Deloitte invite you to this conference to discuss the impact of virtual banking in Hong Kong and potentially the region.

    Brit Blakeney joined the bank as Innovation and Ecosystem Head last April. Brit is a digital executive with over 20 years of experience.Prior to joining DBS, Brit was a Director at Dun & Bradstreet, focused on its digital transformation. She has also held senior positions at major media and internet companies, such as AOL and Univision, and helped launch and run several successful internet and financial startups.
    Brit holds a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, and has studied at the University of Grenoble in France.

    Deniz Güven is an internationally recognised leader in driving digital transformations and bringing new digital banking experiences to audiences globally.
    As the CEO of the virtual bank by Standard Chartered Bank Hong Kong, Deniz leads the team in building a smart bank to solve clients’ pain points with real digital services. The new banking model focuses on financial inclusion and fostering dynamic partnerships to create a comprehensive digital ecosystem. Deniz joined Standard Chartered in 2017 as the Global Head, Design and Client Experience, where he oversaw client journey and optimisations, digital wealth, and collaborations with tech firms and startups.
    Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Deniz served as the Senior Vice President at BBVA Group’s Garanti Bank in Turkey. During his role at Garanti, Deniz was responsible for end-to-end digital assets, as well as iGaranti the first mobile only bank in Turkey. Deniz played an important role which enabled Garanti to reach 5 million active digital customers and to grow their market share in Turkey

    Lapman Lee is a Committee Co-Chair at the FinTech Association of Hong Kong, and co-authored a paper on Hong Kong’s position as a FinTech hub for the European Commission.
    He is a Partner at Deloitte focusing on strategy advice and remediation assistance to regulated firms in connection with enforcement actions, enquiries, prudential and thematic inspections and investigations, whether instigated internally or by the regulators (HKMA, SFC, or IA), including independent reviews as a result of enforcement actions.
    Lapman has advised regulated firms with their business model and strategy, FinTech and RegTech, governance, policies and procedures, risk and control framework, technology and data in relation to licensing.
    He is a frequent speaker on RegTech and has conducted training to local financial services regulators. Lapman is in an ongoing dialogue on FinTech, InsurTech, and RegTech with regulators such as the UK FCA and in Hong Kong with the HKMA, SFC, MPFA, and the Insurance Authority where he is a member of the Future Task Force of the Insurance Industry. In addition, he is an AIIFL Honorary Fellow at the University of Hong Kong.
