Emma is a Director in the International Tax and Transaction Tax – Financial Services team at Ernst & Young in Hong Kong. Emma specialises in advising private equity, real estate, infrastructure and credit funds on the tax considerations during all aspects of the fund and investment lifecycle including fund formation, acquisitions and deal structuring, restructuring and divestment across the Asia Pacific region. Her clients comprise of global and regional GPs and LPs including sovereign wealth and pension funds.

Emma started her career in New Zealand and undertook a short-term secondment in Singapore, before relocating to Hong Kong six years ago. She has a Bachelor of Management Studies (First Class Honours) from the University of Waikato and is a qualified member of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (CAANZ).

James is the Regional Managing Director of Intertrust Group in Asia Pacific with over 400 specialists across 10 offices providing a wide range of fund services to alternative asset managers in the region.

James joined Intertrust Group in 2015 as a member of the Management Team in Hong Kong and China. In addition to managing the Hong Kong office, he has been the Head of Fund Services responsible for the delivery of services to Intertrust Group’s alternative investment fund clients across Hong Kong and China and was also responsible for leading the Group’s Private Equity strategy across Greater China.

Prior to joining Intertrust Group, James spent over ten years at KPMG in Hong Kong/China and Australia, his last position was a Director in the Financial Services division.

Following the growth in alternative investing after the financial crisis, fund managers required a solid infrastructure and a reliable business partner. Having been a start-up at one time, Clayton has built Privium into a global player across many jurisdictions and several billions in AUM. Clayton sat down with numerous start-up managers over the years and has helped many to become successful in their investment strategy.
