Austin R. Bryan

Bryan joined CLP Holdings in May 2016 as Senior Director – Innovation, leading the Group’s efforts to develop innovative business models and build collaborative partnerships as decarbonisation and digitalisation open up new opportunities in the global energy market. A proven pioneer of new services and value creation in the digital media sector, Austin is a globally-recognised leader in transforming business activities in the financial and telecommunications sectors. His experience spans the creation of the first direct banking activities in Germany in the early 1990s, the introduction of virtual customer service platforms for American Express and creation of the first 3G multi-media mobile network in Australia with “3 Mobile”. Most recently he was Vice President of Strategic Innovation at Singtel Optus, where he led the acquisition of major digital media projects and created a US$1 billion digital media business developing and implementing new digital products and services.
Marcos Chow
Partner, IT Advisory at KPMG ChinaMarcos is the Head of Technology Enablement in Hong Kong. He works with organisations to accelerate their digital transformation journey. He has over 19 years of experience as an executive in technology leadership roles across Australia, Greater China, South East Asia and the USA. His specialisations include technology strategy, cloud adoption, digital transformation and leveraging global delivery centers. Marcos’ current areas of focus include China’s Greater Bay Area initiative, the use of emerging technologies and also how Smarter Cities can improve the lives of its citizens. Marcos represents KPMG in a number of associations such as Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association, Australian Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong), Fintech Association of Hong Kong, and Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong & Macau).
Daniel Chun
General Manager at Romotec Technology LimitedDaniel Chun is currently the General Manager and EVP of Market Innovations at Remotec Technology Limited – a 25-year old pre-IPO company based in Hong Kong, which focused in smart controls, home automation and the emerging opportunities in the Internet of Things (IoT) market. Before this appointment, Daniel had served in leadership in the third sector bringing in various innovative products and services to the charity sector.
Daniel currently serves as an Executive Committee member for the Hong Kong Electronics Technologies Association (www.hketa.org.hk) and leads the Green Committee to develop advocacy programmes in creating social and environmental impact around the development and use of technologies. Daniel is also currently the chairman for the Blueprint SIG at Smart City Consortium (www.smartcity.org.hk)
At Remotec Technology Limited, he invented and founded a product concept that led to winning Hong Kong Institution of Engineer’s first ever Smart City IoT product competition beating other competitive entries. SmartAirCon is the name of the project and advocates the smart use of air conditioning to reduce carbon foot print and reduce the consumption of electricity. He strongly believes that mobile operators could become a major contributor in creating environmental impact in this context.
Daniel is a co-founder of a ICT startup company (Art Group Limited) and received incubation from Hong Kong Cyberport which has revolutionized the way how charities handle fundraising at gala dinners and events - by enhancing patrons participation and engagement through the use of OpenHeart’s mobile technologies. In 2015 alone, OpenHeart has supported over 30 charities and helped raised over HK$80M for these charities and causes.
Daniel started off his career as a programmer at Hutchsion Mobile Data in 1990 and had launched CompuServe HK. Since Hutchison, Daniel had been a business development professional in telecom and Internet businesses in Asia Pacific (Taiwan Mobile, Iridium, Wharf T&T). During the dotcom era, he became a resident-entrepreneur at a venture capital fund in Europe based in Malta. He later immigrated to Canada after 9/11 where he started up his own brick and mortar toy store. He sold the toy business in 2008 and joined a Canadian toy manufacturer and became involved in invention, licensing and product innovations.
Daniel is a Blue Ocean Strategy trainer and also a part-time lecturer at City University and HKUSPACE in IT and Corporate Communications. Daniel has invented a few product concepts and currently own a few patent pending for these inventions. In the past four years, Daniel served as the Vice President (Elect) for The Entrepreneurs’ Network (TEN) association in Hong Kong that promotes entrepreneurship.
Daniel received a degree in Master of Research focused in E-research and Technology- Enhanced Learning from Lancaster University, a MBA (Distinction) from Sunderland University, a Master in IT from Charles Sturt University and a computer science degree from Deakin University.
Jessica So
General Manager at Let's ParkJessica is the General Manager of Let’s Park, a new startup business with the mission to make parking more efficient and seamless in the community. Its digital parking solutions meant to take forward Hong Kong’s smart mobility journey through connecting space owners and parkers for maximum utilization of limited parking real estate, enhancing parking convenience, and raising additional revenue.
She has over 13 years of experiences in the transport infrastructure industry, in various roles throughout Digital Innovation, Service Design, Branding, Customer Acquisitions & Engagement. She and her team is committed to help organization accelerate their parking innovation journey and has been instrumental in pioneering the digital Car Park Booking Portal for Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port.
Previously, she has worked for Nestle and GlaxoSmithKline, and hold a MBA in Bradford University, UK. Jessica is a Boston-qualified marathon runner, always look for challenge and adventure.
Jimalyn Yao
Digital Solutions Development at SiemensJimalyn has been in the buildings industry for ten years, in roles ranging from strategy, marketing, sales and solutions development. Her work has cut across energy efficiency, product development and business strategy for the built environment in multiple cities. Currently, Jimalyn serves as a Digital Solutions Developer, creating progressive solutions for customers by harnessing the power of their data. Having worked in Taiwan, ASEAN and most recently Hong Kong, Jimalyn has a macro-view of the smart city technology trends and adoption levels across Asia Pacific. Jimalyn has a degree in Science & Technology Policy from Georgetown University in Washington D.C.
