Division Head, Banking Supervision at Hong Kong Monetary Authority

CK is a Division Head of the Banking Supervision Department of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA). He leads a team in the HKMA to supervise banks' market and liquidity risk management, and assess banks' internal models used for regulatory reporting. His team also oversees the Hong Kong banking sector's preparation for IBOR transition. CK is also a member of the Working Group on Alternative Reference Rates formed under the Treasury Markets Association.

Damian is a Deloitte China partner based in Hong Kong. He is part of Deloitte’s APAC IBOR Reform leadership, as well as Deloitte’s IBOR Reform Global Steering Committee. He also actively participates in both the ASIFMA IBOR Transition Working Group and the ASIFMA Benchmarks Working Group.

Lapman is a member of the Dutch Chamber Finance Committee and member of the European Chamber Financial Services Business Council. In his position as Partner at Deloitte, he focuses on helping financial institutions manage risk and respond to regulatory-driven change resulting from requirements with a global reach (such as Basel and IBOR transition), as well as local HKMA and SFC requirements. He provided IBOR training to regulators in HK.
In addition, Lapman is a frequent speaker on the topics of FinTech as a Committee Co-Chair of the HK FinTech Association and an honorary fellow of the AIIFL program of the University of Hong Kong.
