Mr Dirk Schraven is CEO of Gleneagles Hong Kong, the latest private hospital in Hong Kong and part of the IHH group of hospitals. Dirk has two decades of experience in healthcare strategy and operations. He started his career in management consultancy with Boston Consulting Group where he co-developed the healthcare practice in The Netherlands. He subsequently joined ParkwayHealth in Singapore as Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business Development. Dirk began overseeing ground operations from 2011 to 2016 as the Chief Operating Officer of St Antonius Hospital Group in The Netherlands. Dirk holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Masters in Science (Physics) from Delft University of Technology.

Ms Maaike van Meer will join this seminar in her capacity of Chairman of the Dutch Chamber. In her daily life, Ms Maaike van Meer is Senior Legal and Compliance Risk Management executive at Aegon Asia. She has an extensive experience in the Financial Services industry, including AML/sanctions and data privacy. Practiced in The Netherlands and London as partner in a private firm, specialized in Banking and Corporate Law. Practiced in The Netherlands and Hong Kong as General Counsel and Head of Compliance for ING Investment Management Global, as Chief Legal & Compliance Officer for AXA Insurance Hong Kong and as General Counsel for Aegon Asia and Transamerica Life Bermuda.

Kent is a Partner in Control Risks, Greater China and North Asia. He is responsible for Control Risks’ practices across mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, the Koreas and Mongolia. He has worked in Asia since the early 1980s. Kent has consulted with multi-national and Asian corporations on a range of risk and strategy issues; such as M&A and organic growth strategy, crisis management and operational business controls, and strategic and organizational development programs. Kent has particular expertise in the Asia-Pacific healthcare, food and beverage, and consumer products sectors. Kent has a bachelor’s in English and a master’s in East Asian studies from the University of Minnesota. He also completed graduate studies in journalism and mass communication at the China Times Centre for Mass Media and Social Studies.
